Keynote: Frank Buytendijk, Gartner

Gartner Futures Lab: Immersive Experiences in the Digital Society

Every 5 years Gartner publishes a set of global scenarios. What will the world at large look like in 2040? It feels we are at a crossroads of what we want our society to look like, empowering individuals or focusing on shared experiences. But — more importantly — how can we achieve both?

Frank Buytendijk is a distinguished Vice President and Research Fellow at research firm Gartner. He is also chief of Research for Gartner Futures Lab and proud holder of six Gartner Thought Leadership Award. As a Futurist and Digital Ethicist, he challenges conventional wisdom with a philosophical touch, a bit of humor, and a ton of insight.

Featured speaker: Jocelyn Park-Ross, University of Cape Town
