LAK25 Workshop: Exploring Best Practices for Integrating Gen AI into Learning Analytics Dashboards

We are announcing a half-day workshop on Generative AI with Learning Analytics Dashboards. 

The date is Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, Dublin.

This is a half-day workshop on best and worst practices for strengthening the Learning Analytics (LA) feedback cycle within interactive AI dashboards.  We will discuss and stimulate best practices for the feedback loop of LA and generative AI dashboards.

Motivation

There is a demand for strong coupling between the Learning Analytics lifecycle and the interventions created by students' and teachers' interactions with Generative AI (genAI), especially within the context of dashboards.

We can contribute by structuring Best and worst practices for a broad audience.

Topics 

• Deploying educational dashboards with LA for Generative AI
• Defining design constraints using LA
• Policy implications (AI Act, GDPR) and how they interact with design practices
• What can go wrong? 
• What can possibly go right?
• Please feel free to bring your own topic.

Preparation

If you'd like to discuss your dashboard or service, please bring your own presentation of two to four slides and optional notes.
