SURF and TU Delft Library invite you to the National XR Day

It’s time for Dutch education and research institutions across the country to come together for a unique and inspiring day.

The National XR Day on July 5 will bring SURF member institutions from all sectors (MBO, HBO, WO, UMC) together to discuss and experience the latest developments in XR applications and technologies, and its use in education and research. XR technologies including augmented reality (or AR), mixed reality (or MR) and virtual reality (VR)!

This day will provide a platform for SURF member institutions to showcase their XR activities and promote discussion and networking amongst these members. In turn, the National XR Day will strengthen the SURF XR community as a whole.

Educators, researchers, students, IT professionals, support and policy staff are all invited to come and experience the day’s many talks, demos and workshops. We have tracks on education, research and technology.

Contributing to the event

Would you like to contribute, by presenting your XR project or activities in education and research, give a demo or workshop?

Your proposals can be submitted here. Closing date is Friday the 17th of March.

TU Delft Library en SURF faciliteren een Nationale XR Dag op woensdag 5 juli 2023, waarin het gebruik van eXtended Reality in het onderwijs en onderzoek centraal staat. Dit is een evenement voor de SURF-leden, door de leden!

Het is tijd voor Nederlandse onderwijs- en onderzoeksinstellingen in het hele land om samen te komen voor een unieke en inspirerende dag.

De Nationale XR Dag op 5 juli brengt SURF-leden uit alle sectoren (MBO, HBO, WO, UMC) bij elkaar om de nieuwste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van XR-toepassingen- en technologieën en het gebruik ervan in onderwijs en onderzoek te bespreken en te ervaren.

Deze dag biedt instellingen die lid zijn van SURF een platform om hun XR-activiteiten te laten zien en om discussie en netwerken tussen deze leden te bevorderen. De Nationale XR Dag zal op zijn beurt de SURF XR-gemeenschap als geheel versterken. XR-technologieën waaronder augmented reality (of AR), mixed reality (of MR) en virtual reality (VR)!

Docenten, onderzoekers, studenten, IT-professionals, ondersteunende- en beleidsmedewerkers zijn allemaal uitgenodigd om de vele lezingen, demo's en workshops van deze dag mee te maken. Er zijn tracks over onderwijs, onderzoek en technologie.
