Op woensdag 18 november van 12:00 tot 17:00 (inclusief lunch en borrel) vindt de eerste DURF Federation Day plaats bij SURF Utrecht, ruimte 2.03. We nodigen alle DURF co-applicants, cooperation partners en Chiefs Open Science uit om samen het Nederlandse wetenschappelijke corpus open, beschikbaar en weerbaar (resilient) te maken, binnen de bestaande infra- en organisatiestructuren.
Het voorstel is begin 2025 met jullie hulp ingediend, eind 2025 kregen we groen licht, op 1 juli is het project officieel gestart en op 23 september vond de kick-off met de kerngroep plaats. Nu is het tijd om ook de cooperation partners, de Chiefs Open Science en andere belanghebbenden te betrekken. Deze dag is de eerste in een reeks over de komende vier jaar.
We informeren je over de thematische doelstellingen en de activiteiten die we coördineren om die doelen te halen, en over hoe elke instelling concreet kan bijdragen. Omdat interessegebieden en expertise per instelling verschillen, gebruiken we de dag om te bepalen wie waaraan kan bijdragen. Dat gaat in eerste instantie over de in-kind inzet tijdens de projectperiode, maar we gaan ook in op de gezamenlijke verantwoordelijkheid om de infrastructuur na 2030 te onderhouden en er blijvend van te profiteren.
Programma: lunch om 12:00, start programma om 13:00, borrel om 16:00. Inschrijven is verplicht in verband met zaalbeschikbaarheid en dieetwensen.

On Wednesday 18 November from 12:00 to 17:00 (including lunch and drinks), the first DURF Federation Day takes place at SURF Utrecht, room 2.03. We invite all DURF co-applicants, cooperation partners and Chiefs Open Science to work together on making the Dutch scientific corpus open, available and resilient, within the existing infrastructure and organisational structures.
The proposal was submitted with your help in early 2025, we received the green light at the end of 2025, the project officially started on 1 July and the kick-off with the core group took place on 23 September. Now it is time to involve the cooperation partners, the Chiefs Open Science and other stakeholders. This day is the first in a series spread over the next four years.
We will inform you about the thematic objectives and the activities we coordinate to achieve them, and about how each institution can contribute in concrete terms. Because areas of interest and expertise differ between institutions, we use the day to establish who can contribute to what. This concerns first of all the in-kind contribution during the project period, but we will also address our shared responsibility for maintaining the infrastructure after 2030 and continuing to benefit from it.
Programme: lunch at 12:00, programme starts at 13:00, drinks at 16:00. Registration is required because of room capacity and dietary requirements.
