Recent advancements in AI have reshaped the landscape of automatic speech recognition (ASR). Models like Whisper are praised for their accurate transcriptions. However, questions remain about their performance under atypical conditions. How effective are these systems with dialects, or when capturing speech from children, or non-native speakers? What is their accuracy in environments with multiple speakers or significant background noise? Additionally, handling large volumes of speech data can be challenging in terms of infrastructure. What are the optimal strategies for managing these large-scale transcription tasks in a structured and efficient manner?
Due to developments in AI, the world of automatic speech recognition (ASR) is rapidly changing. New ASR systems seem to provide overwhelmingly accurate transcription of speech. But how do these systems perform under atypical conditions and in large scale applications?

Ricgraph: A flexible and extensible graph to explore research in context from various systems
Abstract
Ricgraph, also known as Research in context graph, enables the exploration of researchers, teams, their results, collaborations, skills, projects, and the relations between these items.
Ricgraph can store many types of items into a single graph. These items can be obtained from various systems and from multiple organizations. Ricgraph facilitates reasoning about these items because it infers new relations between items, relations that are not present in any of the separate source systems. Ricgraph is flexible and extensible, and can be adapted to new application areas.
In this article, we illustrate how Ricgraph works by applying it to the application area research information.

About SoftwareX
SoftwareX (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/softwarex) is a biannual peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal covering scientific software. It aims to acknowledge the impact of software on today's research practice, and on new scientific discoveries in almost all research domains. SoftwareX also aims to stress the importance of the software developers who are, in part, responsible for this impact.

The OpenAIRE Graph is an open access scholarly knowledge graph (SKG) resulting from the aggregation of research entity metadata records (properties and links) from scholarly communication data sources. Funders, organizations, researchers, research communities and publishers can use the OpenAIRE Graph to monitor, discover, and navigate the open science record as a whole.
