Terugblik op de conferentie van het Landelijk Coördinatiepunt Research Data Management en SURFacademy op donderdag 8 februari 2018
Ongeveer 170 mensen woonden op donderdag 8 februari de conferentie National Collaboration in RDM: Celebrating Achievements, Shaping Future Directions bij. Deze conferentie werd georganiseerd door het Landelijk Coördinatiepunt Research Data Management (LCRDM) – in samenwerking met SURFacademy – en vond plaats in de Geertekerk in Utrecht.
Bij een aantal instellingen maken studenten video’s binnen het curriculum, bijvoorbeeld als (eind)opdracht. In dit SURFacademy seminar van de SIG Media & Education op 13 maart deelt een aantal instellingen hun ervaringen op dit gebied, waarin de techniek, de organisatie en de didactiek aan bod komen.
Welk medium kies je voor wat je wilt uitleggen, welk medium is het meest effectief? Video is niet altijd vanzelfsprekend de beste keuze, zo bleek ook weer tijdens de bijeenkomst van de SIG Media and Education op 1 februari 2018. Blog series: the unwired campus of the future
Up until now we have seen the E-SIM as a provider-independent SIM card for your phone. But from a technical perspective, the E-SIM is an applet with SIM card functions on a smart card. The E-SIM allows you to integrate the functions of a SIM card with those of a smart card already used by education and research institutions, for instance for student and employee cards. If you place a smart card in a phone’s SIM card slot, the user is given access to the mobile network while the apps on the phone can also use that smart card. This opens the door to a whole host of new possibilities. We expect the E-SIM to become an important component for education and research, and that’s why our third blog post on the unwired campus of the future focuses on the E-SIM.
